1. First step is to narrow down your selection to the type of ring you are after. These could be diamond wedding rings, plain gold or platinum bands, or something unique or vintage, it is also highly recommended that you select a style that will compliment or match your engagement ring.

Types of Wedding Rings:

Prong/Pave Set

These prong and pave set diamond rings have become one of the most popular diamond ring styles as this type of setting where small diamonds are set very closely together to showcasing an almost continuous line of diamonds. These are usually set together with small metal frame to ensure the diamonds are held securely. The prong set is very similar to pave but usually has larger side diamonds and thus a slightly larger metal prongs to hold the diamonds in securely. 

Bead Set

Channel set

This means the diamonds are visually positioned inside in the middle and the ring and a border is raised around them to lock them securely in. 

Tension Set  

Tension set rings are when the diamonds is securely embedded with the ring or wedged in between two points on the ring that hold it tightly in place.  Tension set usually does not have diamonds positioned next to each other, but instead has then positioned away from each other on parts of the ring. 

Fitted Diamonds Rings

Fitted Diamond rings are those can are shaped generally to accommodate the engagement rings. Usually this design come as a curved fitted ring that will shape perfectly around the diamonds and or side stone of the engagement ring.
